Following a structure fire, Alliance was engaged to safely demolish a single-family home in Chico that was not part of the regional wildfire events. We began with a site assessment, utility verification, and permit coordination with the City. Perimeter controls, traffic cones, and water for dust suppression were staged before the first pull. Crews executed a selective tear-down to avoid disturbing neighboring properties and to protect sidewalks, trees, and drives. Debris was separated where practical to reduce disposal cost and increase recycling. Loads were covered, manifested, and hauled to approved facilities. The site was scraped, magnet-raked for nails, and left clean and grade-ready for the owner’s rebuild plan.
Controlled, permit-ready demo with verified utilities, dust control, and documented haul-off.
Challenge
- Unstable fire-damaged structure requiring controlled pulls
- Tight residential frontage near neighbors and sidewalks
- Need to verify utility disconnects and protect remaining service lines
- Segregating debris for recycling while keeping schedule

Alliance sequenced the demo to reduce collapse risk and nuisance dust. Utilities were verified off, hydrant water and hoses were used for suppression, and spotters watched property lines and overhead hazards. Debris was segmented, loaded, and covered for transport with manifests retained for the owner’s file. Final cleanup included magnet-raking, brooming hard surfaces, and leaving the lot grade-ready.
