Malmstrom Air Force Base needed a trusted environmental contractor to handle a full clean-out and remediation of their aging water towers — structures critical to base infrastructure and daily life. Our team was brought in to perform mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and full-spectrum disinfection using military-grade standards.

The towers hadn’t been deep cleaned in years. We showed up with the gear, the grit, and the government clearances to get it done right.

Challenge

The base had legacy infrastructure that had fallen behind modern standards. Inside the towers, there were signs of surface mold and asbestos insulation breakdown — both requiring specialized protocols to remove. The biggest challenge: confined space entry and the lack of visual documentation due to classified security levels. Our Dropbox folder had been wiped, so we had to work from memory and written notes. Still, our team knew what to do.

Solution

We used a 3-person hazmat-certified team equipped with negative air pressure gear, HEPA-filtered vacuums, and approved antimicrobial treatments. Full PPE was worn during confined space entry. After inspection and removal, we applied long-term barrier protection and provided compliance documentation for base engineers. While we don’t have flashy photos — this job wasn’t about the visuals. It was about trust, safety, and unseen success.

From Founder

“These are the kinds of jobs that feel invisible to the outside world — but they're the ones that matter most. No headlines. Just clean, safe water for our troops.”

What we learned together

Working on this project reinforced something we’ve always believed: the best environmental jobs don’t make headlines. They quietly protect people’s health and safety without a trace. And when you do it right, no one notices — because nothing goes wrong. That’s the true mark of a job well done.
